A variety of 4-H members’ projects in annual General and Livestock shows July 11-14

CLINTON —  The DeWitt County Fairgrounds will be bustling with activity from July 11 through July 14 during the DeWitt, Macon, and Piatt 4-H General Projects and Livestock Show. This four-day event is free and open to the public.

The following events are scheduled:

 

July 11

Tractor Driving- 5:30 p.m.

 

July 12

General Projects Judging- 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Poultry Show- 9 a.m.

Goat Show- Noon

Ag Olympics with DeWitt County Farm Bureau- 7 p.m. (All youth are welcome to participate)

 

July 13

General Projects Judging- 10:30 a.m.- 5:30 p.m.

Swine Show- 8 a.m.

Rabbit Show- 11 a.m.

Sheep Show- 2 p.m.

Master Showmanship Contest- 6 p.m.

 

July 14

General Projects Judging- Noon – 2 p.m.

Beef Show- 9 a.m.

Awards Show- 4 p.m.

 

“Our 4-H members look forward to this show and the opportunity to advance to the Illinois State Fair,” says Kendra Wallace 4-H program coordinator.” “We invite the public to view the exhibits, Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.”

 

An awards ceremony recognizing members’ achievements from the Shooting Sports Final Shoot Competitions, Horse Show, and General Projects and Livestock Show is scheduled for 4 p.m. on July 14 in the show arena. Bring lawn chairs for events, since seating is limited.
