CLINTON — Carla Jean Good (Rempe), of Clinton, passed away in her home on April 5, 2025, aged 68.
Carla is survived by her daughter, Alicia Sparks (Will Sparks, Jack Sparks) of Williamsville, Ill., and son, Sean Good (Allie, Rylan and Harper), of Clinton, sister Diane (Barry) Phipps, brother David (Wanda) Rempe, brother Eric (Valorie) Rempe, sister Greta Boudeman, sister Teresa (William) Washburn, brother Steve Rempe and sister Janet Vinson (Rempe). She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Emma Jean Rempe, her niece, Joanna Boudeman, her sister, Joyce Rempe and her husband, William L. Good.
Carla was born on September 2, 1956, in Clinton, to Louis and Emma Jean (née Logsdon) Rempe. She worked in numerous positions over her 45-year career at State Farm Insurance, in Bloomington.
William and Carla married on April 30, 1977, in Clinton, and enjoyed 44 years of marriage before William’s passing in 2021.
Carla poured her creative talent into home remodeling and redecorating over the years, making each of her houses a cherished home. Her love for laughter, dancing and having fun was clear to all who met her and was shared by her many lifelong friends. She was a proud mother and grandmother, celebrating her children and grandchildren’s accomplishments with joy.
A private family service will be held at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton; a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
