CLINTON — The city is looking at the next step toward the possibility of restoring the iron bridge that connects two parts of Woodlawn Cemetery.
Commissioner Dan Ballenger reported during Tuesday’s city council meeting about the study that would be required before moving forward with restoration.
“Mr. Graves was here last week and addressed it, and we said we didn’t have the cost estimates,” Ballenger said. “We do have those now.”
Ballenger said the cost to conduct the structural and environmental study on the bridge would be $25,000.
“That’s to make a study on it to see if it is even worth fixing or if it’s feasible,” he said.
Ballenger said that did not include any further work, such as construction costs.
