Clinton Presbyterian supports Homestead with donation

CLINTON — For 28 years the Clinton Presbyterian Church Mission has benefited from candy sales through its “Heavenly Sweets” booth at the Apple ‘n Pork Festival.

With the Covid-19 cancellation this year, local organizations will miss that opportunity, and the DeWitt County Museum Association will lose a major source of funds.

In appreciation to the museum, the CPC Mission committee has chosen to donate the average amount paid each year to the museum.  It is hoped that other local organizations represented on the grounds will consider similar support for the museum in this difficult time.

Nonprofit organizations that set up on the museum grounds during the Apple ‘N’ Pork Festival donate a portion of their profits each year to the museum.

“The DeWitt County Museum Association truly appreciates the thoughtfulness of the Clinton Presbyterian Church congregation and this generous donation,” said Joey Long.
