CLINTON — First National Bank and Trust Company recently present a gift of $5,000 to the DeWitt County Development Council (DCDC). The funds will assist in a matching grant program alongside State Farm Insurance to support local businesses.
“DCDC is once again excited to have the support of First National Bank as we look to raise these matching funds to reach our $25,000 goal,” said David Torbert, DCDC President. “This funding is critical in helping our organization continue its growth, and move forward with our mission to support local businesses.”
DCDC actively engages with current and potential businesses to market DeWitt County, with a mission to attract commerce and encourage job growth. The council promotes ideas for local business expansion and workforce development, and also provides direction for new and existing businesses or commerce seeking resources to enhance business operations, including revolving loan programs.
“We are proud to partner with DCDC and aid in local economic growth,” said President, Josh Shofner. “We know these funds will continue to be used to provide resources to help expand local businesses.”
