Friendship Center benefits from Legion Auxiliary goodies
Gordon Woods / Journal —
Margaret Feaman, president of the Clinton American Legion Auxilary, left, presents a $1,400 donation to Paula Jiles, executive director of the DeWitt County Friendship Center. For several years, the Legion Auxiliary has baked cinnamon rolls as a community service for donations. They took orders in advance and then delivered them the next day. This year, they baked 40 dozen. Past recipients of the fundraiser has included Children’s Books for Summer, The Vault, HOOAH and Land of Lincoln Honor Flight. This year, the Friendship Center was chosen to receive the proceeds from the annual baking project. Feaman thanked everyone who helped and made donations.
