CLINTON — Warner Hospital & Health Services CEO Paul Skowron reported Monday work to the facility’s entry drive was nearing completion and the project went well.

“The contractors responded promptly to all our concerns,” Skowron told city council members.  “We were able to modify the timelines to make our goal of Apple ‘n Pork …”

Skowron said although there were some supply and weather-related issues, the work still was progressing on schedule.

“The crew was very professional; we worked well together,” he said.  “And, I might point out they also supported local businesses by making fuel purchases and dining locally every day they were here.”

Commissioner of Streets and Public Improvements Ken Buchanan reminded residents Center Street will be closed from the railroad tracks near the county building north to the Woodlawn and Bus. Rt. 51 intersection for the Apple ‘n Pork Festival this weekend.  The closure will begin at 6 a.m. on Saturday to 6 p.m. and again on Sunday from 6 a.m.-6 p.m.
