CLINTON — The Illinois Press Association (IPA) notified the Clinton Journal April 16 it was awarding the newspaper and editor Gordon Woods a second-place prize in government reporting.
The award in the Government Beat Reporting class is part of the annual IPA Best of the Press editorial contest.
Awards will be presented during the IPA virtual convention in May.
The Clinton Journal competes among Class A newspapers in Illinois with circulations up to 5,000. There are about 150 Class A newspapers in Illinois.
