Kenney Fall Fest Sept 6 & 7

KENNEY — The 39th Annual Kenney Fall Festival is scheduled for Friday, September 6 from 5:30-9 p.m. and Saturday, September 7 from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. in downtown Kenney.

The festival is free family entertainment and is sponsored by the Kenney Civic League with help from area businesses, organizations and supporters.

 

Friday, Sept. 6 schedule

5:30 p.m. – Opening ceremonies will include a DeWitt County honor guard flag presentation, National Anthem, taps.  BINGO for prizes will follow.

6 p.m. – Sugar Creek Cloggers

7-9 p.m. – Modern Cowboyz

9-midnight – “Reasonably Suspicious Band at The Depot

 

Saturday, Sept. 7

7-9 a.m. – Biscuits and gravy for donation at the Kenney Community Center

10 a.m. – Patriotic parade starting at the Village Park

Noon- 2 p.m. – BINGO for prizes

1 p.m. – Kenney school reunion.  Check in at the Kenney Civic League booth on Friday or by noon on Saturday.  A small reception will be held after.

1 p.m. – Sidewalk chalk art contest.  Sign up at the Kenney Civic League booth

2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. – Kenney Christian Church ladies’ cake walks

3 p.m. – The “Mulkins Family” gospel music

4 p.m. – Heartland Cloggers

5 p.m. – Comedian Pete O’Shea

6:30 p.m. – CHS M-Squad and CHS dance team

7-9 p.m. – “The Stephanie Foster Band”

9 p.m. – All drawings and raffles announced

9-midnight – “Dick & Brad” at The Depot

 

Also on Saturday: Austin’s Animals Petting Zoo, crafts, bounce house and slide, face painting, balloon twister, Rhoades Brothers stock car display, Terry’s train ride, raffles and drawings, The Kenney Fire Department annual chicken supper from 3-6 p.m., Kenney Heritage root beer floats and popcorn and walking tacos.
