BLOOMINGTON — Madeline I. Roberts, 77, Bloomington, died at 2:20 a.m. on November 29, 2024, at OSF.
Madeline was born on January 8, 1947, in Flora, Ill., the daughter of Cecil E. Speagle and Ina “Madge” and Kenneth “John” Hoffman. She married Michael Roberts on April 16, 2002.
She enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, scary movies and loved the outdoors, her kitties, birds and spending time with her husband, daughter and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Sgt. Michael Roberts (USMC), one daughter, Sherry D. (Reynolds) Followell, son- in-law, Eric S. Followell, of DeWitt, grandsons, Kalob S. Followell (Coty), of Weldon, Eric “Kyle” Followell (Madison), of Clinton, and three great- grandchildren, Kaynnyn S. Followell, Elliana R. Followell and Delilah S. Henderson.
She had two sisters, Chris Masters, and Nancy Diane Coonce, and four brothers, Michael Speagle, Ronald, Randy Speagle, and brother-in-law Joe Roberts.
Preceding her in death were her parents, mother- in-law, and brother, Kelly Speagle.
Madeline did not wish for any services. Her family will celebrate her with a private gathering.
