CLINTON — The Lady Maroons’ 1st quarter 13-point lead went a long way toward their 56-31 win Saturday over the Lady Cardinals of Warrensburg-Latham High School.
The two teams’ defensive efforts during the second quarter slashed scoring, 6-1 in favor of Clinton. But, following the half, the Lady Maroons went on another scoring onslaught, 14-4 in favor of Clinton.
The Lady Cardinals came alive in the 4th quarter with their second highest scoring run of the game with 10. The Lady Maroons’ lead, though, and another 7 points secured Clinton’s 25-point win.
This win put the Lady Maroons at 19-5 so far on the season. They were scheduled to host the Central A&M team on Tues, Jan. 28.
