Reports, expenditures during council meeting

CLINTON —Among the commissioners’ reports during the recent city council meeting, John Wise gave an update on work at the water department.

“We’ve been waiting for a piece of equipment to get here to get that lime silo changed,” Wise said.  “It just seems like it keeps getting postponed.  For whatever reason, the company has just not gotten here yet.”

Wise said he hoped the work would be completed soon.

“And, when it gets to that point, we’ll make sure to let people know when it’s going to be done,” Wise said.

He also said the city would begin hydrant flushing in town as soon as the weather improved.

“After the winter, it’s good to get it all cleaned out and ready to go,” he said.
