CLINTON — Roger D. Moody, 73, of Clinton, passed away at 7:09 p.m. on April 14, 2024, at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the Clinton American Legion, 219 N. Elizabeth St., Clinton, with Pastor Marsha Funneman officiating. A celebration of Roger’s life will follow. The family requests casual attire. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with cremation rites.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to DeWitt County 4-H.
Roger was born on June 7, 1950, in Decatur, the son of Beryl E. and JoAnn (Anderson) Moody.
Survivors include his children, Angela (Julie) Moody, Springfield, and Chad Moody, Slidell, La.; siblings, Ernest (Lynn) Moody, Springfield; Larry Moody, Clinton; and Janet (Jun) Caba, Savoy, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Thelma May.
Roger owned and operated Moody Home Improvement for several years and also farmed. He was an avid fisherman.
