CLINTON — Scooter’s Coffee should be open for business by late November or early December, according to company officials.

The planned drive-through coffee shop is set to open at the former Clinton Pizza Hut location at 614 W. Van Buren.  The Pizza Hut building already has been demolished and cleared from the property.

Scooter’s officials said they were currently looking to hire a store manager in addition to about 15 part-time barista positions.

The Omaha, Neb.-based franchise also has plans for stores in Decatur, Springfield and Taylorville.  Scooter’s has locations throughout Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Wisconsin and Arkansas, with other locations in Florida, Utah and Arizona.
