DECATUR — Shirley M. Humphreys, 89, of Decatur, passed away at 4:25 p.m. on March 6, 2025, at Hilltop Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Charleston, Ill.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Weldon Cemetery, Weldon, with Pastor Jeff Rawlings officiating. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to the Macon County Humane Society.
Shirley was born on August 24, 1935, in Weldon, the daughter of Harry and Gladys (Gibson) Wise. She married Robert G. “Bob” Humphreys on May 2, 1953, in Kenney. He passed away on May 24, 2005.
Survivors include her daughter, Laurie Humphreys (Steve Hammond), Decatur; three grandchildren, Brooke Marler (Matthew), St. Mary’s, Ga.; Kellisa (Aaron) Fiala, St. Louis, Mo.; and Michael (Bianca) Humphreys, St. Louis, Mo., and great-grandchildren, Dylan, Crystal, Ben, Rosalie, Norah, and Declan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son David Humphreys.
Shirley loved spending time with her family.
