CLINTON — Vernon Leinweber, 91, of Clinton, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
 He was born on May 8, 1934, in Clinton, a son of the late Elmer and Annabelle Webb Leinweber. He served his country in the United States Army from 1956-58 and worked for many years at Revere Copper and Brass, in Clinton.
 Vernon married Donna “Earlene” Kaiser on November 11, 1958, and they spent the next 66 wonderful years together. They enjoyed traveling, visiting every state in the country except for Alaska, and they especially enjoyed the winters that they spent in Texas. Golf was his favorite recreational activity, and the pair loved to try out new courses.
 He is survived by his wife, Earlene Leinweber, three nephews, and his favorite kitty, Cricket.
 A graveside service will be held for Vernon at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Woodlawn Cemetery, in Clinton. Those attending are asked to arrive at the graveside by 12:50 p.m.
 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the DeWitt County Humane Society.
