CLINTON — A Clinton resident told the city council Monday he was frustrated trying to get action on houses in his neighborhood that were seriously dilapidated.
Jim Moberly talked to commissioners about issues he has pushed for the city to address for a couple of years involving properties in the 600 block of N. Quincy Street and 500 block of N. Jackson Street.
“I’m embarrassed, I’m disgusted, and I’m quite disappointed with my neighborhood,” Moberly said. “There are two houses that are almost falling down. They have holes in the roofs …the weeds have not been cut at all this year. I have weeds across the street that are taller than me.”
