On their way to being mobile again
Gordon Woods / Journal —
The DeWitt County Friendship Center has been without a van for a while, but thanks to a $3,150 donation from Clinton Presbyterian Church, the agency is on its way to regaining its mobility. The church collected $1,500 in donations from its congregation during part of September and October and then matched that amount, and then some, to help the center get a van. Left to right: Chamber exectutive director Marian Brisard, Friendship Center board members, Lewellyn Sears, Larry Roberts, Friendship Center director Paula Jiles, board members Joe Murray, Vicki Rawski, Clinton Presbyterian Church members Dixie Lobb and Lisa Mitchell, and Kim Corsa, of the Friendship Center. Clinton Presbyterian Church challenges other area churches to do the same and get the center some new wheels even sooner.
