Police need help in Casey’s burglary

CLINTON — The Clinton Police Department seeks the public’s help and information to solve a burglary and criminal damage to property to Casey’s General Store, 1603 E. Washington Street.

At 3:28 a.m on May 30, Clinton Police responded to an activated burglar alarm at Casey’s, where officers discovered the glass front door shattered.

Video surveillance footage shows a short, unidentified subject, hooded and gloved, gaining entry to the store through the broken door.  Once inside, the subject is seen stealing a significant quantity of Newport brand cigarettes and then fleeing from the building.

Crime Stoppers may pay a cash reward of up to $1,000 when a felony arrest is made as a result of information provided.
