CLINTON — DeWitt County real estate tax bills will be mailed by May 28, 2024. The first installment is due July 12, 2024, and the second installment is due September 6, 2024.
Those who have not received their tax bills by June 5, 2024, contact the DeWitt County Treasurer’s office at 217-935-7820. Failure of a taxpayer to receive a tax bill does not relieve them of their tax liability.
If a mailing address has been changed, call the Supervisor of Assessments office at 217-935-7800. Any questions on assessments or exemptions should be directed to the Supervisor of Assessments office.
Tax payments may be made at any banking institution in DeWitt County, at the DeWitt County Courthouse, 201 West Washington Street, Clinton (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Mon-Fri) in the drop box at the northwest end of the courthouse parking lot, mailed to P.O. Box 439, Clinton, Illinois 61727 or online. The link can be found at dewittcountyil.gov/departments/treasurer.php
The payment coupon attached to the bottom of the tax bill must accompany the payment.
