Louise Acres, 53, Springfield, was issued a Citation for Speeding (77 mph in a 55 mph zone). Acres was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred 11/9/20, at 09:14 a.m. revealed that Leo Evans, 60, Maroa, was westbound on IL-10, west of County Highway 13. Evans attempted to pass Janet Gurga, 67, White Heath, also westbound on IL-10. Evans stated, while attempting to pass Gurga, the wind blew him across the center line into the rear driver side quarter panel of Gurga. Gurga state she believed Evans was going to pass, then struck her on the rear driver side. Evans vehicle had damage to the front passenger side quarter panel and headlight. Gurga had damage to the rear driver side quarter panel and taillight. Gurga’s vehicle was driven from the scene. Evans was issued a citation for Failure to Reduce Speed/Accident. Evans was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Matthew Ginger, 32, Decatur, was issued a Citation for Driving While License Revoked; Operating Uninsured Vehicle; and No Valid Registration. Ginger was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred 11/7/20 at 09:55 revealed that Wayne Cunningham, 56, Clinton, was traveling eastbound on IL 54, approximately 1 mile west of Power Road. Anissa, Longfellow, 51, Clinton, was immediately behind Cunningham. Todd Longfellow, 50, Clinton, was immediately behind Anissa Longfellow. All vehicles were traveling eastbound on IL 54 . Cunningham activated his turn signal to turn into a fishing access area, immediately east of the bridge, at the location. Also, it should be noted a large piece of cardboard was in the roadway. Cunningham swerved to miss the cardboard, activated his left turn signal and while initiating the left turn was rear ended by Anissa Longfellow. In turn, Todd Longfellow attempted to swerve to miss Anissa Longfellow, turned sideways and his passenger side struck the rear end of Anissa Longfellow. Anissa Longfellow was issued a citation for Failure to Reduce Speed/Accident. Todd Longfellow was issued a Citation for Failure to Reduce Speed/Accident.

Adam Buening, 29, Teutopolis, was issued a Citation for Speeding (81 mph in a 65 mph zone). Buening was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Kristie Isaac, 51, Mahomet, was issued a Citation for Speeding (78 mph in a 55 mph zone). Isaac was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Dawn Scott, 47, Paxton, was issued a Citation for Speeding (76 mph in a 55 mph zone). Scott was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Roman Simpson, 25, Decatur, was issued a Citation for No Valid Driver’s License. Simpson was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

All subjects are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
