Sept. 22

Desiree B. Hasty, 22, Clinton, for failure to secure a child younger than age 8, operating an uninsured motor vehicle.  Notice to appear was issued.

Alison G. Speltz, 23, Clinton, for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.  Notice to appear was issued.

Sept. 24

Samuel T. Romer, 20, Decatur, for possession of cannabis.  A civil citation was issued.

Revethi C. Bulur, 53, Mt. Zion, for speeding 80 mph in a 55 mph zone.  A notice to appear was issued.

Roscoe R. Vanscyoc, 43, Maroa, for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.  A notice to appear was issued.

Brad D. Tolen, 33, Maroa, for possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia.  A promise to comply was issued

Accidents.

On Sept. 23, Clinton Police investigated a property damage accident at Grant and Johnson streets.  A vehicle driven by Sandra K. Callison, 59, Moweaqua, was southbound on Grand and was stopped for traffic when a vehicle driven by Rose. Gehres, 17, Clinton, could not stop in time and collided with Callison.

On Sept. 23, Clinton Police investigated a property damage accident at Main and Grant streets.  A vehicle driven by Michael J. Welsh, 59, Morton, was southbound on Grant stopped at the stop light.  A vehicle driven by Chauncy L. Giles, 28, Bloomington, could not stop in time and collided with Welsh.

On Sept. 24, Clinton Police investigated a property damage accident in the 800 block of Bus. 51 south.  A vehicle driven by Michael L. Potts, 58, Clinton, was northbound on Bus. 51 and was stopped waiting to turn.  A vehicle driven by Bailey D. Gamsby, 19, Clinton, was northbound and could not stop in time and collided with Potts.

Other

On Sept. 17, Clinton Police arrested Lori M. Collins, 33, Clinton, on a DeWitt County warrant.  Collins was transported to the DeWitt County jail and released to corrections.

On Sept. 22, Clinton Police investigated a fight on the west side of the square.  Nathan P. Rich was cited for driving while license revoked and a city ordinance prohibiting fighting on public property, public intoxication.  Caleb A. Brewer, 26, Clinton, was cited for a city ordinance violation for disorderly conduct, public intoxication, fighting on public property.  Jessica D. Lowe, 19, Clinton, was arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.  Rich and Lowe were transported to the DeWitt County jail and released to corrections.

On Sept. 23, Clinton Police arrested Robert N. Falzone, 35, Chatham, for disorderly conduct.  Falzone was transported to the DeWitt County jail and released to corrections.

On Sept. 23, Clinton Police arrested Travis W. Pollock, Clinton, on a DeWitt County warrant.  Pollock was transported to the DeWitt County jail and released to corrections.

On Sept. 24, Clinton Police arrested Trevor L. Blue, 20, Clinton, for violation of an order of protection.  Blue was transported to the DeWitt County jail and released to corrections.

On Sept. 25, Clinton Police arrested Jason K. Snyder, 43, Clinton, for possession of a controlled substance.  Snyder was transported to the DeWitt County jail and released to corrections.

All suspects are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
