CLINTON — Clinton school board member John Blythe was recognized for his years of service on the Clinton school board during Tuesday night’s monthly board meeting and received a plaque from the district in appreciation. Blythe did not run for re-election to the board.
Board members also heard a presentation from Clinton Junior High School principal Josh Maxwell about the school’s STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) program that will start this fall.
In other business, the board:
Approved Eric Douglas as junior varsity baseball coach, effective immediately; Rachel Woods as a first grade teacher at Douglas Elementary for the 2019-20 school year; and Traver Millers as a CHS math teacher starting next school year.
Accepted the resignations of: Brock Weigelmann as CHS business teacher and assistant football coach at the end of the school year; David Mathis as a bus driver, effective March 1; Jennifer Gaff as CHS M-Squad coach, effective March 15; Amelia Rosenberg as CHS special education teacher at the end of the school year; Sarah Benner as a CES special education teacher at the end of the school year; and Sarah Telford-Anderson as a CES 5th grade teacher at the end of the school year
