CLINTON — Betty J. Ellis, 93, of Clinton, passed away at 7:45 a.m. on July 25, 2024, at Carle BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
No services are planned at this time. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with cremation rites.
Betty was born on January 29, 1931, in Wapella, the daughter of Paul and Martha (Collins) Holland. She married William I. “Bill” Ellis on February 14, 1948. He passed away on May 13, 2016.
Survivors include her children, John (Melanie) Ellis, Panama City Beach, Fla.; Bill (Janis) Ellis, Wapella, and Martha (Ed) Wilcox, Kearney, Neb.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Kathy (Vernon) Meadows, Wapella, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, William Holland, Ronald Holland, John Holland, Ralph Holland, and Beverly Holland Kraft; and granddaughter, Penny Harrold de Gonzalez.
