Jeffrey W. Barger, 55, Clinton, was arrested on a DeWitt County Body Attachment charging him with Failure to Pay or Appear. Barger being unable to post the necessary bond remains lodged in the DeWitt County Jail.
Lee Greenwood, 48, Decatur, was arrested on a DeWitt County Warrant charging him with Driving on Revoked License/FTA. Greenwood being unable to post the necessary bond remains lodged in the DeWitt County Jail.
Sapphire Ramos, 33, Clinton, was issued Citations for Failure to yield at intersection, and No Valid Driver’s License. Ramos was given a Notice to Appear and was released.
Yvette McNairy, 53, Decatur, was issued Citations for No Valid Registration and Operating Uninsured Vehicle. McNairy was given a Notice to Appear and was released.
Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred at 0817 on 11/9/21 revealed that Sage Lash, 23, DeWitt, was west bound on IL-54 behind Ronald Craig, 55, Clinton. Craig was in the opposite lane, Lash attempted to pass Craig in the westbound lane. Craig began to maneuver the turn and collided with Lash. The passenger side front bumper and fender of Craig’s vehicle collided with the driver’s side of Lash. The crash caused damage to the bumper and passenger side fender of Craig’s vehicle. Lash’s vehicle suffered damage to most of the driver side, from the driver door to the rear quarter panel. Lash requested Baum Towing to pick up her vehicle. Craig’s vehicle was driven from the scene. A witness traveling westbound behind Lash’s vehicle stated that Lash drove onto the shoulder of IL-54 to attempt the pass. The witness stated Craig used his right-hand turn signal prior to maneuvering. Lash was issued a Citation for Improper Lane Usage. Lash was given a Notice to Appear and was released.
Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred at 1610 on 11/7/21 revealed that Kyle Kaufman, 31, Argenta, stopped at the intersection of CH 14 and IL State Rt 10 facing south. Blake Bradley, 42, Decatur, was behind Kaufman at the intersections. Kaufman proceeded to turn east onto Rt 10 and pulled onto the southern shoulder to make a wide turn. Kaufman continued to turn from the shoulder of Rt. 10 to cross Rt. 10 again headed north into a field entrance on the north side of the road by completing a U-turn. Bradley proceeded to turn east after Kaufman had already turned. Bradley observed Kaufman pulling over to the shoulder and attempted to pass. Bradley stuck the front driver side bumper of Kaufman with their rear passenger fender. Kaufman sustained damage to their bumper where it was bent forward from contact until where the first bolts are located. Bradley sustained damage to the rear fender. Bradley was issued a Citation for Leaving the scene of an accident. Bradley was given a Notice to Appear and was released.
All subjects are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
