CLINTON — At a socially-distanced school board meeting in the Clinton High School commons Tuesday night, Superintendent Curt Nettles said 35 students have returned to school from remote learning.
The district offered a “grace period” until Sept. 4 for students and their families to decide if they wanted to continue remote learning or return to in-person classes.
“We’re glad to have them back,” Nettles said.
He estimated the number of remote learners to be “a shade under 300,” which is about 20 percent of the student population.
“I won’t say everything is perfect (with the remote learning) because it’s not, but it’s going pretty well,” said Nettles.
