SPRINGFIELD — Land of Lincoln Goodwill Industries will open its newest retail store and donation center in Clinton in late spring or early summer of 2019, Goodwill officials announced Monday.

The new 7,800 sq. ft. store will be located in the Clinton Plaza and will become the 15th retail location in central Illinois for the nonprofit organization, headquartered in Springfield.

The new Clinton location will provide new and gently worn clothing for men, women, teens and children in addition to house wares, shoes, accessories, jewelry and small appliances, and a special boutique section. The store will also serve as a donation drop-off point.

Store hours will be Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

“We’re very excited about expanding into Clinton,” said Sharon Durbin, Goodwill CEO.  “Clinton is a wonderful community and we expect our retail store to provide great values for local residents while also providing them an opportunity to donate used items that directly help us provide career training and employment opportunities locally.”

Tractor Supply Company announced last week it would open a store in part of the former Clinton Walmart building.  A second development to share the building also was revealed.
