Parker honored by local DAR chapter

CLINTON — DeWitt Clinton Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently presented chapter member Rosemary Parker the Woman in American History award at its April meeting.

Parker is a 10-year member of the DeWitt Clinton DAR Chapter, having most recently served as regent. Sharing her keen interest in history,  she has presented a program on the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) with artifacts found at the Empire Township Historical Museum. where she has served as president for 16 years.

She also serves as a J.T. & E.J. Crumbaugh Memorial Library Trustee, and Treasurer of the Elizabeth J. Crumbaugh Assistance Fund. Under the direction of the trustees, the historic Crumbaugh Manse has been restored, making it available to the public for open houses and teas.

The DeWitt Clinton DAR Chapter hosted an open house at the manse for local artist Mary Jones, in 2022. 

Rosemary also serves the LeRoy community as president of the Living Well Center for Seniors and as a Faith In Action assessor.
