Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner made a campaign stop at Snappers, in Clinton, on Tuesday afternoon. Addressing a group of mostly local elected officials, Rauner talked about electing Erika Harold as attorney general. Current attorney general is Lisa Madigan, daughter of Democrat Speaker of the House Michael Madigan. Lisa Madigan is not seeking re-election. Rauner also spoke in general terms about lower taxes and illegal immigration.
