Johnson receives Sheriff’s Office scholarship

CLINTON — Alexandra Johnson is the recipient of this year’s DeWitt County Sheriff’s Office Scholarship.
The Illinois Sheriff’s Association offers yearly scholarships to all counties in Illinois. Last year’s local winner did not use $166 of her scholarship, so it rolled over into this year’s award for a total of $666.
The scholarship question this year pertained to herion usage among teens. Winners were required to complete an application and the essay question.
