Notice to Appear issued

On 10/07/20 after investigation into Burglaries that had been reported, Clinton Police arrested Craig A. Smith 32, Clinton on 3 separate cases. Smith was transported to the DeWitt County Jail and released to Corrections.

On 10/08/20 Clinton Police investigated a Hit & Run accident at Bus 51 & Jericho Road. A vehicle driven by Kevin R. Jackson 34, Clinton was southbound on Bus 51 and was slowing down to turn eastbound onto Hickory Drive. A vehicle driven by Trenay N. Easton 34, Clinton was southbound on Bus 51 and attempted to pass Jackson as he was starting to turn. Easton collided with Jackson and then left the roadway and as Easton was trying to get back onto the road she collided with a garage. Easton then proceeded to the road and left the scene. Easton was located and issued citations for Disobeyed No Passing Zone, Unlawful Display of Registration, Leaving the scene of Accident-Property Damage, and Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle.

On 10/09/20 Clinton Police arrested Treshawn L. Ward 21, Bloomington for Driving while License, Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle and a Macon County Warrant. Ward was released on a Notice to Appear in Court.

Nathan Skaggs, 36, Springfield, was issued a Citation for Speeding (91 mph in a 55 mph zone).  Skaggs was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Alexis Franklin, 24, Bloomington, was issued a Citation for Speeding (78 mph in a 45 mph zone).  Franklin was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Matthew Beadles, 45, Clinton, was arrested on a DeWitt County Warrant, charging him with Unlawful Possession of a Contraband in a Penal Institution/FTA.  Beadles posted the necessary bond and was released.

Larry Lacy, 43, Clinton, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Domestic Battery.  Lacy posted the necessary bond and was released.

Leslie Thacker, 33, Farmer City, was arrested on Champaign County Warrants charging her with Contempt of Court.  Thacker remains incarcerated.

All subjects are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
