On 07/25/21 Clinton Police responded to a disturbance of adults fighting/arguing on the Square. Clinton Police arrested Shaylen N. Terry 20, Clinton for Aggravated Battery and Endangering Life/Health of a Child. Terry was transported to the DeWitt County Jail and released to Corrections.

Jason Bragg, 41, Bloomington, was issued Citations for Operating Uninsured Vehicle; Reckless Driving; Driving While License Revoked; Leaving Scene of Accident; and Improper Lane Usage. Bragg was given a Notice to Appear and released.

Rashaun Haines, 36, Decatur, was arrested, charged, and issued a citation for Driving on Suspended/Revoked License. Haines posted the necessary bond and was released.

Sean Croft, 23, Clinton, was arrested on a DeWitt County Warrant charging him with MISD/Fail/Return from Furlough. Croft, unable to post the necessary bond, remains lodged in the DeWitt County Jail.

Breiann Beaudry, 28, Decatur, was issued Citations for Driving while License Suspended; Operating Uninsured Vehicle; and Speeding (89 mph in a 65 mph zone). Beaudry was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Anthony Klemp, 30, Morris, was issued a Citation for Speeding (80 mph in a 55 mph zone). Klemp was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Samuel Sonnenberg, 21, Mt Zion, was issued a Citation for Speeding (26 to 34 mph over limit). Sonnenberg was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Dominique Hardy, 27, Decatur, was issued Citations for Driving While License Suspended and Speeding (96 mph in a 55 mph zone). Hardy was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Joseph Huff, 38, Lincoln, was arrested on a Logan County Warrant charging him with FTA. Huff, unable to post the necessary bond remains lodged in the DeWitt County Jail.

Matthew Ginger, 32, Decatur, was arrested on a DeWitt County Warrant charging him with Driving on Revoked License/FTA. Ginger, unable to post the necessary bond remains lodged in the DeWitt County Jail.

Kevin Combs, 42, Carbondale, was issued a Citation for Speeding (26 to 34 mph over limit). Combs was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Stephen Arnold, 25, Sullivan, was issued a Citation for Speeding (76 mph in a 55 mph zone). Arnold was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Tanea Taylor, 25, Decatur, was issued a citation for Speeding (78 mph in a 55 mph zone). Taylor was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred on 7/11/21 at 16:28 revealed that Brian Cronkite, 28, Wapella, was eastbound on Main Street in Wapella, approaching Poplar Street. Richard Alwood, 69, Clinton, pulling a trailer, was on Main Street facing east at the stop intersection with Poplar Street. Cronkite struck the rear of Alwood’s trailer. Cronkite stated the water from the trailer obscured his vision when he struck the rear of Alwood. Alwood stated Cronkite was following too closely prior to the crash. Cronkite sustained damage to the front bumper. Alwood’s trailer sustained some dents, and paint chipping on the rear. Both units were driven from the scene. Cronkite was issued a Citation for Failure to Reduce Speed/Accident. Cronkite was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Hosam Khayal, 59, Wheaton, was issued a Citation for Speeding (80 mph in a 55 mph zone). Khayal was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Franklin S. March, 53, Clinton, was arrested on a DeWitt County Warrant Charging him with Driving on Revoked License/FTA. March, unable to post the necessary bond remains lodged in the DeWitt County Jail.

Melvia Johnson, 49, Springfield, was issued a Citation for Speeding (80 mph in a 55 mph zone). Johnson was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Latisha Taylor, 41, Decatur, was issued Citations for Speeding (81 mph in a 65 mph zone) and No Valid Driver’s License. Taylor was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Lisa Morris, 53, Bloomington, was arrested and charged with DRVG Under INFLU of Alcohol. Morris posted the necessary bond and was released.

Patricia Mikesh, 35, Bloomington, was arrested on a DeWitt County Warrant Charging her with DRVG Under Influ of Alcohol. Mikesh being unable to post the necessary bond, remains lodged in the DeWitt County Jail.

Toby Ester, 49, Farmer City, was arrested on a DeWitt County Warrant charging him with Vio Vail Bond/Family Member. Ester being unable to post the necessary bond, remains lodged in the DeWitt County Jail.

Corey Larimore, 52, Atwood, was arrested and charged with Possession of Meth<5 grams; Possess Drug Paraphernalia. Larimore being unable to post the necessary bond, remains lodged in the DeWitt County Jail.
