Thanks for making a successful Clinton Christmas parade

Posted

The Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau’s “A Magical, Musical Christmas” parade took place on Saturday, November 27.

The Chamber would like to thank everyone that participated in the parade, along with the public that attended the event. Congratulations once again to the 2021 Clinton Christmas Parade Grand Marshal, Mr. Ivan Stanwood.

Complimentary cups of hot cocoa and delicious cookies were served by volunteers from Celebrate Clinton, Inc. The Vespasian Warner Public Library offered parade attendees a free holiday craft after the parade was over.

The Clinton Chamber of Commerce wishes to thank all the volunteers that helped with the parade:

• Parade entry line-up volunteers: Steve Meade, Gabe Goldsmith, Jordan Sturgeon, Tony Girardi, Mikey Jameson, Chae Mills-Pugsley, Carolyn Jameson, and Marian Brisard.

• Parade Announcer: Jared White, Station Manager at WHOW/WEZC/DeWittDailyNews.com and crew.

• Banner carriers are proud members of the Clinton Rams Baseball Team and Clinton Maroons Youth Baseball: Dylan Jameson, Emmett Brown and Grayson Cornwell.

• Drivers who volunteered were Mayor Roger Cyrulik (City of Clinton Officials); Ivy Koritz drove her father, Mr. Ivan Stanwood in the Grand Marshal entry. This vehicle was provided by Baum Chevrolet Buick; and Jacob Taylor, owner of AMS, Inc., pulled Santa’s float.

Others deserving a thank you for their assistance with the parade are Clinton City Council’s Mayor Roger Cyrulik, Commissioners Dan Ballenger, Kenny Buchanan, Tom Edmunds, and John Wise, City of Clinton Street Dept., Clinton Police Dept., Lance Schmid Auctions, Clinton Auto Auction, Krystal & Ed Cicenas of EMC Photography, Jim Mandrell, and Central Illinois Associates, LLC.

If you were unable to attend the parade, EMC Photography created a video for all to enjoy and Clinton Chamber Staff videoed the parade live. Both videos are posted on the Clinton  Chamber of Commerce Facebook page. We also discovered some drone footage, which we shared. (Thanks, Aaron Kammeyer.)
