CLINTON — New details released from the August 23 armed robbery at Marathon/Clinton Pantry. Further investigation indicates the suspect description as a white male, 5'9-6' and approximately 165-185 pounds, a slimmer build than originally reported. The suspect was clothed in all black with tan work boots, a "real" skater cap with signatures inside the bill, a Zan Headgear face mask and sunglasses. See attached photos (in comments) and a portion of the video surveillance of the suspect as he flees on foot in a northeasterly direction from the scene to the northeast quadrant of Clinton. The surveillance video clips released are short edited portions from a single camera angle for the sole purpose of assisting in identifying the suspect by physical description, demeanor and clothing. Investigators have reviewed all surveillance footage, in it's entirety, and caution viewers from speculation based on these limited excerpts. Anyone with information is urged to call the CPD at 217-935-9441 or Crime Stoppers at 217-935-3333
