Sen. Chapin Rose’s recent comments on the wind industry were outrageous. He clearly doesn’t care about family farmers in his district.
Make no mistake, by his publicly coming out against wind, he is coming out against my property rights and my ability to do business on my land.
Also, he clearly is tone-deaf to the issues going on in DeWitt County right now. Of course, we all want the power plant to stay open, but will it? It seems unlikely right now. So, we need a Plan B, which is to bring new economic growth to the area to prepare for the potential shut-down of Clinton Power Station.
I wonder who told Chapin it was a good idea to publicly bash wind farms. It sure doesn’t make any sense to me.
Sincerely,
Katie Thorp
