CLINTON — Clinton High School senior Victoria Wilson received the P.E.O. Star Scholarship recently during a P.E.O. Sisterhood ceremony at Clinton High School. Chapter representatives Valerie Crutchfield and Krista Rohrschieb presented the award.
Victoria is the daughter of Renee and Peter Koyak, and Wes and Paula Wilson. She plans to attend the University of Illinois in the fall to major in atmospheric science.
The P.E.O. Star Scholarship is a $2,500 award based on excellence in leadership, extracurricular activities, community service, academics and potential for future success. The program is open to young women who are citizens or legal permanent residents of the United States or Canada and who are graduating seniors at the time of application. A P.E.O. Chapter must recommend the student.
P.E.O Sisterhood is an international philanthropic and educational organization that promotes educational opportunities for women.
