Kellie Borland, 30, Clinton, was arrested on a DeWitt County Warrant charging her with Delivery of Methamphetamine/FTA. Borland, unable to post the necessary bond remains lodged in the DeWitt County Jail.

William Alwood Junior, 54, Clinton, was arrested and charged with DRVG Under the Influ of Alcohol. Alwood posted the necessary bond and was released.

Skyler Confer, 23, Saybrook, was arrested on a DeWitt County Warrant charging him with Driving on Suspended License/FTA. Confer posted the necessary bond and was released.

Timothy Tackett, 60, Clinton, was arrested and charged with DRVG Under Influ of Alcohol; Illegal Poss/Transp Liq/Driver; Fail to Give Signal. Tackett was issued Citations for 2 counts of Driving Under Influence and Illegal Transportation of Alcohol. Tackett posted the necessary bond and was released.

Antoine Jones, 40, Springfield, was issued a Citation for Driving while license Suspended/Revoked. Jones was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Leah Kemp, 31, Springfield, was issued a Citation for Driving While License Suspended/Revoked. Kemp was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Thomas Alwardt, 21, Decatur, was issued a Citation for Speeding (79 mph in a 55 mph zone). Alwardt was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Michelle Whitehouse, 40, Clinton, was issued a Citation for Driving While License Suspended. Whitehouse was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Thomas Gonzalez, 54, Bloomington, was issued a Citation for Driving While License Suspended. Gonzalez was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Christopher Zbinden, 19, Wapella, was issued a Citation for driving Speeding (81 mph in a 55 mph zone). Zbinden was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred on 7/24/20 at 1605 revealed that Sandra Smith, 68, Argenta, was facing south on White Pigeon Road at the intersection with Ospur Road. Breanna Livingood, 26, Clinton was traveling westbound on Ospur Road and had no stop sign at the intersection. According to Smith, she stopped at the stop sign and proceeded into the intersection and did not see Livingood until it was too late. Livengood stated she swerved a bit in an attempt to miss Smith, but was unsuccessful in doing so. Smith struck Livengood with the front of her vehicle, sending Livengood into a bean field in the southwest corner of the intersection. Smith came to rest in the intersection of White Pigeon and Ospur Rd. Smith’s vehicle was towed from the scene by Baum’s and Livengood’s vehicle was towed from the scene by Maple’s Towing. Smith was issued a citation for Failure to Yield Right of Way at Stop/Intersection. Smith was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred on 7/26/20 at 1106. Joseph Case, 48, Matteson, was at the stop sign intersection of Ranger Road and Mascoutin Road, located in Clinton Lake State Recreation Area. Case was facing north and pulling a camper trailer. Rhonda Kindred, 48, Atlanta, was stopped at the intersection, facing north behind Case. According to the drivers, another vehicle was turning onto Ranger Road. Case began to back up to make more room for the uninvolved vehicle. Kindred attempted to back up also but was unable to avoid being struck by the trailer of Case. The crash caused damage to the passenger side front end of Kindred’s vehicle. There was no noticeable damage on Case’s camper trailer. Both units were driven from the scene.

Richard Burkart, 51, Paducah KY, was arrested on a DeWitt County Warrant charging him with Deceptive Practice/FTA. Burkart, being unable to post the necessary bond, remains lodged in the DeWitt County Jail.

All subjects are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
