CLINTON — Commissioner John Wise reported to the city council last week a company helped the water department locate some leaks.

“He went to two areas and found four leaks,” Wise said.  “They worked on ones today we had never been able to find.”

He said the contractor who located the leaks made it possible to repair some longstanding issues.

“He’s good, and it’s going to come in handy in getting those handled,” Wise said.

Wise also reported upgrades at the water department were progressing.

In other business, the council approved sale of excess personal property from the water department, hazard/warning lights for new trucks for $5,684 from Rahn Equipment, and 2024 fire prevention materials for $6,474.
