Mt. Pulaski bank plans branch in Clinton

CLINTON — Longview Community Bank, of Mt. Pulaski, plans to have a branch bank open in Clinton by next spring, bank president William Glaze told the Clinton Journal on Friday.

Clinton City Council will see the planning commission’s recommendation during the council’s regular meeting on Tuesday.  Glaze said the plan was to begin work immediately on the site chosen just south of Evergreen FS along Rt. 54 west near Dairy Queen and the Clinton Antique Mall.

Longview Community Bank is a part of Longview Capital Corporation, based in Newman, Ill.  The company bought The Farmers Bank of Mt. Pulaski in August 2022. 

Longview also has a branch in Chestnut, formerly known as the Bank of Chestnut, as well as branches throughout central Illinois.  Longview is owned by employees and bank board members.  https://www.longviewcb.com

Longview Capital Corporation also operates the Bank of Gibson City.  The company serves primarily rural customers in Illinois and west central Indiana.
