‘Good Neighbor Award’

CLINTON — The DeWitt County Housing Authority has announced the launch of the “Good Neighbor Award.”

The new initiative will recognize residents of Clinton’s public housing communities who go above and beyond to make a positive impact, whether it’s picking up trash, helping neighbors in need, or organizing events that bring people together.

Residents, staff and members of the public are encouraged to nominate any resident who demonstrates kindness, helps others or contributes to improving the quality of life in our housing community.

Nominations can be submitted by filling out a form at the housing office or by emailing contact@dewitthousingil.gov.

A winner will be chosen at random from the pool of nominees every three months. The first award period runs from October to December 2024.

By acknowledging the efforts of those who take pride in their community, the housing authority hopes to inspire others to follow their example. This award shows appreciation for the individuals who work hard to create a better living environment for all.

Clinton Subway has donated the first Good Neighbor Award prize.

The DeWitt County Housing Authority invites other local businesses to support this initiative. If you are a local business interested in sponsoring a future Good Neighbor Award, contact the housing office.
