CLINTON — After an easy pair of wins on Oct. 5, the Lady Maroons were in for a surprise on Saturday morning, October 9.
The Lady Maroons were ready for play, but the visiting Ridgeview Lady Mustangs looked to have their plan together as well.
The opposition had the height advantage with several tall players. The Lady Maroons countered the height disadvantage with quickness and agility.
The 7th grade game was one for the season and kept everyone on the edge of their seats. The first quarter ended in a 4-4 tie.
This was followed by a low scoring second quarter with the Lady Mustangs taking a one-point lead into halftime. The third quarter saw the teams scoring 3 points each, leaving the home team still down by one point.
