CLINTON — On Oct. 5, the Clinton Junior High School cross-country team held its final home meet of the season. Maroa/Forsyth’s Trojans and Warrensburg/Latham’s Cardinals were the opposing teams for this outing, hosted at Little Galilee Christian Camp.
A short side note was a young runner from Warrensburg/Latham, who was his team’s only runner in this event and has been for a couple of years. Kaiden Higgins is proud to represent his school and runs with no team support, just that of his family and coaches. He finished in 7th place out of 32 runners in this race.
Clinton took seven of the top 10 spots in the run with the Maroons’ Keaton Graves winning with a time of 12:28:05 minutes.
Regan Filkin took second place for the Lady Maroons in 16:24:70 minutes behind Klaire Eighner from Maroa/Forsyth.
Clinton won the meet with Maroa/Forsyth coming in second, followed by a determined Warrensburg/Latham runner in third.
