CLINTON — On August 16, The Vault Teen & Community Youth Center sponsored a final summer concert before classes started.
The evening was for all youth, with a few other invited guests, to have one final get together before school got under way. There were approximately 85 students in attendance.
The evening featured two Clinton-based performances by Ian Hale and then Simple Moves as the first two performances. This was followed by two Decatur bands, Ope! Sorry and Marble Teeth. Along with the music the Vault Coffee Bar was open with refreshment and snacks.
The center was somewhat crowded until the music began and then all seats were vacated and it was standing room only around the stage.
The Vault is also finishing up the lower level with two art wall projects, a single-lane bowling alley with seating, giant chess/checkers, Gaga ball (somewhat like olden times dodge ball), carpet ball, and shuffle board. There is also a “Prize Vault” in the works.
