CLINTON — William D. and Mary Jane Conn celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on August 29.
Bill and Mary (Abbott) were married on August 29, 1953 in Peoria, accompanied by Jack and Marjory Abbott Glenn.
They have four children, Billy Conn, Rifle, Colo.; Chris Conn, Normal, Ill.; Carole Abbinanti, Chicago, and Mitch Conn, Plainfield, Ill.
The Conns also have 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
An anniversary luncheon was held on August 29 with relatives from Clinton, Normal and California. Earlier in August, family members from Arizona and California arrived to celebrate. Family from Colorado, Kansas, Iowa and Minnesota also plan to celebrate with the Conns later in September.
Bill is a retired building contractor, and Jane is a retired piano teacher. She is still active as Bill’s caregiver, housewife and church organist.
