CLINTON — Extension Horticulture Educator Candice Hart continues her how-to gardening series Hands-on Horticulture with Hart on June 5 with Self-Watering Container Gardens. 

As summer moves into full swing, learn how create your own self-watering container to keep your plants hydrated. Join Hart as she discusses the concept of self-watering containers and how to make one at a fraction of the cost to buy one.

Cost is $20 and participants will leave with an 18-gallon unit to take home.

This program will meet at the DeWitt County Extension Office located at 8425 Katie Rd. in Clinton from 6-7:30 p.m. Advance registration is required by May 31 by visiting go.illinois.edu/dmp or call (217) 935-5764 for more information.

Upcoming topics in the Hands-on Horticulture with Hart series are Cacti & Succulent Container Gardening in July and Cut Flower Gardening in August.
