KENNEY — The 33rd annual Kenney Fall Festival will be held on Friday, Sept. 8, from 6-9 p.m., and on Saturday, Sept. 9, from 9 a.m.-9 p.m.  The festival is held in downtown Kenney and is family friendly with free entertainment.

Opening ceremonies will be conducted on Friday at 6 p.m. with the Kenney/Hallsville American Legion Post 1133 giving the flag presentation.

Kenney Christian Church youth group will hold a cake walk and BINGO for prizes, and the Kenney Fire Department will have their trucks on display.  Friday night’s band will be Green Diamond Express, performing from 7-9 p.m.

Saturday morning will begin with biscuits and gravy, served from 7-9 a.m. in the Kenney Community Center’s north room.  A donation will be taken, which will go to Relay for Life of DeWitt County.  The annual Jim Leathers care show will be held from 9-11 a.m. with registration in the village park.

Entertainment for the festival will begin at 11 a.m. with the Logan County Farm Bureau’s kiddie tractor pull, sponsored by the Kenney Fire Department.  Kids weigh in at 10:30 a.m.

Michael Morrow will perform at 1 p.m.  The Yuke Crazies of Clinton will perform at 2 p.m.; award winning Dance Xtreme at 3 p.m.; Heartland Cloggers at 4 p.m.; magician Christopher Bontjes at 5 p.m.; Clinton High School M-Squad and CJHS dance team at 6 p.m.

The Natu Band will perform from 7-9 p.m.

• Face paiting with Mattie Dubson from the Zoo Lady Face Painting Company from 3-7 p.m. on Saturday

• Annual bag tournament at 4 p.m. on Saturday

• Rhoades brothers stock car display from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday

• Kenney Fire Department annual chicken supper from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday
