CLINTON — DeWitt County Democrats hosted a meet-and-greet on October 3 to introduce three candidates running in the November mid-term elections. The event was held at Warner Library.
Two county board candidates, Tamra Miller, running from District C, and Joe Summers, running from District A, were introduced by county Democratic chairman Terry Redman. The two candidates offered some brief comments, pledging to do their best for DeWitt County, while also meeting residents who attended the event.
Jennifer Todd is running as a Democrat for the Illinois 15 Congressional District against incumbent Congresswoman MAGA Republican Mary Miller. Todd said Miller had done essentially nothing during her time in Congress and has cited Miller’s votes to cut funding for healthcare, public services and veterans.
The 15th District reaches across Macon, Piatt and Champaign counties, and stretches southwest toward Granite City.
