WELDON — John and Marcia Baker, of Weldon, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Thanksgiving with a family dinner.
The Bakers wed on Nov. 29, 1957, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Anchor, Ill.
Their children are Lisa Diaz, of Bloomington, Beth (Doug) Zehr, of Gillespie, Ill., and Brian (Diane) Baker, of Hillsborough, N.C.
The Bakers’ grandchildren are Brooke (Vince) Conlee, of Decatur, Brittany (Doug) Dwyer, of St. Louis, Mo., Ashley and Michael Baker, of Hillsborough, N.C., and Andrew (Beth) Norton, of Wake Forrest, N.C., and great-grandchildren Lucas and Braden Conlee, of Decatur, and Kate and Hudson Norton, of Wake Forrest, N.C.
John is a retired DeLand-Weldon Elementary and Middle School principal, and Marcia is a retired reading specialist at Bement, Ill.
