WAYNESVILLE — John David Roesch Jr., 57, of Waynesville, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023, at his home.

John was born on November 28, 1965, in Clinton, to John David Roesch Sr. and Marcia Diane (Thorp) Roesch.

After graduating from Wapella High School in 1983, John embarked on a diverse career path, contributing his skills and dedication to various enterprises, including Thorp Seed Company, Thrall Car, Trinity Wind Towers, and, most recently, Napa Auto Parts.

John found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His free time was often spent in the company of his numerous beloved pets, indulging in the thrill of NASCAR races, appreciating vintage tractors and classic American cars and attending tractor pulls. His passion for these pursuits endeared him to many, creating lasting memories and shared moments of laughter.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John David Roesch Sr. and Marcia Diane Roesch, and his grandparents, Arnold and Anne Roesch and James and Mary Thorp.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Ashley Roesch, and granddaughter, Huxley Roesch, who were a source of immense pride.

John leaves behind a legacy of family and camaraderie. He is additionally survived by his siblings, Christina (Jeffrey) Beckemeyer, of rural Clinton, Paul Roesch, of rural Clinton, and Anne (Shannon) Leischner, of Washington, Ind. His nieces and nephews, Justin Beckemeyer, Indianapolis, Ind., Katelyn Beckemeyer, Morton, Ill., Hallie, Paige, and Cole Leischner, Washington, Ind., will fondly remember their uncle for the love and wisdom he shared.

In honor of John’s memory, his siblings will host a celebration of life event on a future date, allowing friends and family to come together, share stories, and celebrate a life well-lived.

John David Roesch Jr. will be remembered for his kindness, his love for his family, and the warmth he brought to the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in eternal peace.
