CLINTON — Clifford Eugene Carter, 84, of Clinton, passed away at 1:46 a.m. on March 29, 2024, at HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at the Heyworth Cemetery, Heyworth, with Pastor Spencer McPheron and the Rev. Richard Gray officiating. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to the Full Gospel Tabernacle, Heyworth.
Clifford was born on July 21, 1939, in Clinton, the son of George and Gladys (Nelson) Carter.
He married Mary L. Frisby on February 4, 1963, in Trenton, Ga.
Survivors include his wife, Mary L. Carter, Clinton; brother-in-law, Donald Byrd, Heyworth, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Clifford was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Heyworth. He worked as a machinist at Eureka Company, in Bloomington.
